RajaRajeswari College of Nursing on 26 JANUARY 2024 celebrated the day with all respect by hosting the National Flag at the college premises hoisted by our honourable principal Dr. Umadevi and Mr. Vijay Prakash sports and cultural in charge of RRMCH and in the presence of Administrative Officer of RRCN Mr. Shridar M and Ms. Kowsar, Ms. Anugraha, Ms. Ramyashree & Ms. Sahana faculties and office staff Mrs. Mamatha of RRCN followed by sweets distribution. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience freedom, peace and Unity in Diversity.

Fresher’s Day Nova – 2023

Venue: Kadamba HallNova 2023 is the official name given for the fresher’s day conducted on November 22nd 2023. The occasion started with an introductory session of the fresher’s followed by a welcome speech and praise to the almighty. What was followed were a set of dance performances from the fresher’s and a game as an interlude. The first half continues with more performances. The second half was the official Mr. And Ms. Fresher talent show where the students elected from various stages prior to the occasion were asked to perform their talents on stage to be judged by the judges. There were more performances and a game to keep the show exciting and interactive. The occasion concluded with a Thank you speech and recital of the national anthem all within time frame and was a grand success with positive feedback from all faculty members and students.

The aim for conducting NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Programme) is to raise awareness about the importance of the newborn care for child survival and development. The neonatal period is the crucial period for child survival; as this period carries the highest risk of deaths per day than any other period during the childhood. World mental health day is celebrated on 10 th of October every year on the occasion of world mental health day students of 2 nd GNM performed a mime on the theme mental health matters.
It was organized by Dr. Shamili Kowshik professor and HOD of department of psychiatric nursing and preceded by Dr. Uma Devi A.K, principal, RRCN.
It was started at 2pm around 200 students attend the programme i.e. 1st GNM, 2nd GNM, and 3rd GNM students along with faculties of RRCN.
2nd GNM students performed mime on theme and elaborated the theme and importance of mental health in our lives.
Awareness Programme on Diabetes Mellitus – 2023

Medical Surgical Nursing department of RajaRajeswari College of Nursing organized a programme to create awareness about Diabetes Mellitus on 17th November 2023 at RRMCH lobby. 2nd year BScNursing students under the guidance of the departmental teachers, educated the Patients and the visitors attending the OPD about Diabetes Mellitus, care of diabetes mellitus patients and its Prevention through a role play using the relevant charts and the pamphlets containing the detailed information about causes, types and prevention. Students also performed a fashion show demonstrating the effects of diabetes mellitus on various organs of the body. The programme was ended with the distribution of diabetes friendly high protein sprout salad to highlight the importance of diet in diabetes prevention.
