Department : Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing

Department of Mental Health of RajaRajeswari College of Nursing, along with RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, celebrated World Mental Health Day with enthusiasm and a strong focus on mental health awareness. The event was organized by Dr. Shamili, Head of the Department, and featured performances by the III Year B.Sc students and II GNM students. The dignitaries emphasized the vital role of nurses in promoting psychological well-being and providing compassionate care. The event was inaugurated by RRMCH’s Dr. Satya Murthy (Dean) and Dr. Praveen Kumar (Medical Superintendent), and graced by Dr. Basavaraj Bhandari (Principal, RRMCH), Prof. Jagadish T. J. (Principal, RRCN), along with the Vice Principals of RRCN. Activities included:

This year’s theme — “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies” — highlighted the importance of making mental health support accessible during crises like natural disasters, conflicts, and public health emergencies.
