On March 13, 2024, an impactful Women’s Day awareness program was conducted in the urban area of Channasandra. Organized by the faculty and students of RajaRajeswari School of Nursing, the event aimed to celebrate the achievements of women and raise awareness about pertinent issues affecting them. Under the guidance of Dr. Tejeshwari B.V, HOD & Professor, and Mrs. Deepa B.M, Lecturer in the Department of Community Health Nursing,

the program featured a series of activities designed to empower and educate women in the community. Sessions on women’s health, reproductive rights, financial literacy, and gender equality were conducted by experts in their respective fields. Additionally, interactive discussions provided a platform for participants to share their experiences and voice their concerns.

Free health check-ups, counselling services, and distribution of informational pamphlets further enriched the program’s offerings. The event concluded with cultural performances and inspirational speeches, inspiring attendees to strive for gender equality and women’s empowerment in their daily lives. Overall, the Women’s Day awareness program in Channasandra urban area, led by the faculty and students of RajaRajeswari School of Nursing, served as a catalyst for positive change, fostering a supportive environment for women’s advancement and well-being.
