The Swasth Mela health camps, organized in collaboration with Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, witnessed active participation from nursing students. The initiative aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the community and promote health awareness. Under the umbrella of Swasth Mela, various health camps were conducted, including the Ayushman health mela focusing on general health check-ups, screening for common ailments, and health education sessions. Additionally, the High-Risk Pregnancy Program aimed to support expectant mothers with specialized care and guidance to ensure safe pregnancies and childbirth. The involvement of nursing students enhanced community engagement and facilitated the delivery of healthcare services. Through these camps, numerous individuals were reached, promoting preventive healthcare and early intervention. The collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals and students contributed significantly to improving health outcomes in the community. The Swasth Mela health camps served as a platform for fostering community well-being and empowering individuals to prioritize their health. World Health Day – 2024

Theme: “My health, my right” The world health day was conducted on April 8th 2024 by Community Health Nursing department along with B.Sc. (N) 4th year students at Govt.school, Kethohalli, Bangalore. The main aim was to give awareness of school children regarding their health. The programme begins with prayer song followed by welcome speech. The nursing students were conducted group activities like hand washing technique, skit on personal hygiene and regular exercise. The programme was ended by pledge related to health.

Inservice Educational Programme – 2024

RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital has adopted Chunchnakuppe RHTC Centre under the Arogya Bandhu schemes its rural Center. The health center has its own building with OPD, inpatient facilities, pharmacy, minor OT and injection room etc. We are in the process of upgrading it to a 24×7 health center… IN RHTC, Chunchunkuppe Dept of community health nursing of RajaRajeswari College of nursing has conducted in-service educational programme TOPIC: BIOMEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT among health care workers of RHTC Chunchunkuppe.

Nutritional demonstration program – 2024

A nutritional demonstration program was done in Kethohalli from 22nd April to 27th April 2024 collaborating with department of Community Health Nursing along with 4th year B.Sc (N) students. This program was conducted to provide education information on nutritional value of the foods, food quality and safety, methods of preservation, processing and handling, food preparation and eating to help them make the best choice of foods for an adequate diet. There were around 5 groups who performed the demonstration; there were many varieties of dishes prepared by the students. According to the age group, we prepared all the nutritious food which is helpful for their growth and development. Community members were happy to join with all of us. They were able to understand and study about the nutritional value of food available around them. The program ended by thanking the community people for the great co-operation.

Report On Rural Field Experience At Kethohalli, Bangalore – 2024

From 1st April to 30th April 2024, the 4th year B.Sc (N) students of RajaRajeswari college of Nursing, embarked on a rural community field experience in Kethohalli, Bangalore. During this period, various impactful programs were conducted, including a School Health Program dedicated to promoting student well-being through health education and screenings. Additionally, world health day Programme was organized to educate the school children about their health, how to promote the health and prevent the diseases. Furthermore, they have conducted in-service education programme on “Biomedical waste management for health worker at RHTC centre, Chunchankuppe Bangalore.
