A tribute to goddess saraswathi was celebrated on 17/10/2018 in the college premises. The faculties and students actively participated in the prayer session.
The Induction programme for the students of 1st B.Sc Nursing & GNM was held on 4/10/2018. The aim of the programme was to ensure that every student feels welcomed, excited to begin this new stage in their education. The programme started with Pooja.
Principal Dr.A.Jebarna Kiruba Mary delivered the inaugural address and welcomed the students in ACS Auditorium followed by the role & responsibility of students were emphasized by the students about the various qualities they need to inculcate in themselves in order to become good human. All faculty members addressed the students & informed the students about the college activities, facilities etc. the programme ended with the vote of thanks.
The Community Health Nursing Department of RajaRajewari College of Nursing organized World’s AIDS Day programme on 01-12-2018 at college premisis. This was in observance of World AIDS day which is celebrated every year on 1st of December. Mrs.Tejeshwari.B.V, HOD of Community Health Nursing Department spoke on various aspects of AIDS and also highlighted on this year’s theme “Know Your Statusâ€. The progrmme was ended with vote of thanks and national Anthem.
In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the kadamba hall of RRMCH on 31/10/2018 as the college bid adieu to the students of 2014-2018 batch at a farewell function
The function began with the recitation of prayer song. Ms Alisha Touris gave the welcome speech. The Principal Dr.A.Jebarna Kiruba Mary enlightened the students with her inspirational speech. Juniors presented very interesting dance, solo singing performance which entertained the audience on behalf of the batch students the fullest. Ms. Smriti shared her experience of four year and expressed gratitude to principal, management and all staff members. Mrs.Parineetha also expressed her feelings on students and wished good luck for their future. Principal congratulated the dedication and participation of students in all the activities, mementoes was presented to all the outgoing students of final year. The program ended with vote of thanks.
Thanks giving program was organized by outgoing batch students on the same day. Students expressed their thanks to principal, management and its all staff members. Students presented wall clock to college and presented gift to principal, HOD’S & to all faculty members.SNA members arranged the tea party for the outgoing batch students.
Kannada Rajyothsava was celebrated on 30/11/2018 in kadamba hall. Themed on “Kannadigana Sambramaâ€, it was a pleasant reception for the all.
Mr Keerthikumar (Kirik Keerthi), Actor, Kannada film industry, Mr Ramesh, Kannada Professor, Dr Jebarna Kiruba Mary, Principal, RRCON were the dignitaries present on the occasion. The programme commenced with an invocation in the form of a prayer song and dance.
Ms Mousmi Chatterji , student of the fourth year BSc, accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering. Presiding over the programme, Dr Jebarna Kiruba Mary said, enjoyment and responsibility are the two sides of a coin; students who want to enjoy their student life should also be ready to take up the responsibility to have a better future. Mr Keerthi Kumar presented an exquisite speech which thrilled the audience.
The entire programme was scheduled with various cultural programmes like dance, songs, speech competition, quiz competition and fancy dress competition which were based on the theme of tradition of Karnataka.
Ms Sarika and Mr Manoj Kumar, students of 3rd year BSc Nursing, handled the proceedings; Mr Rakesh of 2nd year BSc Nursing delivered the vote of thanks.
A guest lecture on “Diabetic foot†was held on 10th October 2018. The guest lecture has been organized by the department of Medical Surgical Nursing. The guest lecture began with welcome address by the Head of the Department; Mrs. Asha Sajji. She has introduced and welcomed Dr. Amit Kumar C Jain with expertise in Surgery, Poodiatry and Diabetology, resource person to deliver the lecture. In his talk he emphasized the importance of care of diabetic foot and also introduced about Amit Jain’s System of practice for diabetic foot, which is one of the new development that was developed for improvising and standardization of Diabetic Foot. The lecture was started at 9am and ended around 11am. The lecture was received with admiration by the students and they also found the slides appropriate. The event ended with presenting a memento to the guest and vote of thanks.

World Heart Day celebration was organized by Medical Surgical Nursing department, faculty and students of RajaRajeswari College of Nursing on 29th September 2018 for raising awareness about cardiovascular diseases and to live a healthy life. As part of the celebration, HOD of Medical Surgical Nursing Mrs. Asha Sajji welcomed the gathering by addressing about the importance of world heart day celebration. Mrs. Reshma Kharvi, Asst. Professor explained briefly about the cardiovascular diseases and emphasized on the importance of good eating habits, cessation of smoking as it has a bad effect on the heart health. She also spoke about the importance of sports and exercise. Principal Dr. A Jebarna Kiruba Mary emphasized on healthy lifestyle, stress free life to keep heart healthy. Ms. Mandira Gope, Lecturer delivered vote of thanks.
Activities:Few activities were organized to relieve stress and to boost cardiac health. Participants were made to undergo a session of Laughter therapy and deep breathing yogic exercises to relax themselves and their basic parameters like Blood pressure, Heart Rate, Height, Weight, BMI and GRBS were checked. Followed by this they were made to undergo physical exertion to achieve the maximum target Heart Rate. Finally, a promise was been made by all the participants to eat healthy food, do daily exercises and to be stay happy. As a health care professionals, also made a promise to save more lives.
