The students of RRCN bid a farewell to their seniors during a farewell party on 28-10-2019.
A farewell party was organized at school premises where all the seniors and juniors had a lot of fun together. The seniors received a warm welcome by the juniors as they entered wearing elegant attire.
The programme began with the juniors performances. The juniors enthusiastically performed farewell songs for the seniors; they sang the good bye songs which again created an ambiance full with emotions. The students were beautifully dressed in traditional costumes.
The juniors created an ambiance of enjoyment and music for the seniors to enjoy their last memories in the college. Further, the event was made memorable with the flashback memories that were shared by some seniors in the speech that created an emotional moment.
As the performances were so splendid, the faculty members while addressing the students said that being students they will always remember their college days and the faculty members also wished the seniors luck and well being for their future.
Memento was given to the students.
Dr A. Jebarna Kiruba Mary, Principal and other faculty members wished all the students luck for their future endeavors.
They asked them to do their best and face life challenges with confidence.
On 11th October 2019 for 2019-2020 Batch ( 1st Year B.Sc Nursing & GNM) was inaugurated after an auspicious Ganapathi Pooja which was attended by Dr. S. Vijayanand M.Tech., Ph.D , Executive Director, and other senior officials of Management, staff and students also were present in the occasion.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by our Executive Director. He encouraged the new members to absorb and uphold the strong value system of RRCN to be a cut above.
Every academic year is rejuvenated by performing Ganapathi Homam.
The induction programme commenced on 14th October 2019. The week long programme was designed in a way that the new joiners get an overview of their learning methodology
Faculty members addressed the students & informed the students about the college activities, facilities etc.
The guest lecture was conducted on “Behavioral Problems Among Children †organized by Department of Child Health Nursing at RajaRajeswari college of nursing Bangalore on 11th September 2019 at 11 – 12 am .
Dr. Asha C.S Associate Prof.Dept of Psychiatry,RRMCH,Bangalore, delivered elaborative lecture on “Behavioral Problems Among Children “and explained in detail about ADHD which helps to enhance the knowledge of participants regarding ADHD.Mrs Kanchana M.Naik , HOD, department of Child Health Nursing welcomed the guest speaker .Dr.Asha C.S 3rd year B.Sc (N) students, GNM 2nd Year students and faculty from RajaRajeswari college of nursing Bangalore attended the guest lecture.
Beneficiaries: 100 students and faculty.
RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had organized “The Chairman’s Trophy†which was held among the inter Institutions.

23rd Sep 2019 was observed as “The Founders Day†in RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions. Commemorating, our beloved chairman Dr. A. C. Shanmugam’s birthday. RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had organized Community Oriented programs at Primary Health Care (PHC) & Urban Health Care (UHC), donations to the orphanages and awards were given to all Teaching and Non Teaching Staffs who are serving for the Group of the Institutions for more than a decade.
In order to let the students stay rooted with Indian culture, RRCN celebrates various festivals on campus… Ganesh Festival is one of it…
On 31-August 2019 our college has celebrated ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ with full enthusiasm RRCN staff and students installed the ‘Ganesha idol’ in the institute for 5 days. The multi-talented Staff and students of RRCN decorated the Ganesha with glittery papers, beautiful flowers; attractive decoration pieces… witnessed student’s enthusiasm. Rangoli is an important part of this festival and this is done by our students.Our Executive Director Dr. Vijayanand M.Tech. Ph.D graced the occasion.
These 5 days were filled with grand ‘aartis’, delicious prashad and lots of blessing from ‘Ganpati Bappa’.
On 5th days, students participated in Ganpati immersion rally. In the sound of ‘Dhol’ and ‘Taasha’ RRCN immersed its Ganesh idol. Students are well aware about their social responsibility. We immersed the idol in a tank…. These 5 days were indeed the most enchanting days on the campus.
On the Occasion of teacher’s day, the blood donation camp was organized by RajaRajeswari Dental College and Hospital on 5th September 2019. The event started with inauguration and Dr. Edwin Devadas, Dean, RRDCH, has enlightened the students with his words. A team of 12 doctors and nurses of RRDCH came for collection of blood. In this camp number of Volunteers of RajaRajeswari College of Nursing has participated with Vivacity. Five Volunteers of rarest blood group have donated the blood in camp and 15 volunteers are held on call at the time of any scarcity/need. A Certificate of appreciation, and refreshment was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
NSS orientation programme was conducted on 29.08.2019 & 30.08.2019 from 9.30 am to 4 pm in RajaRajeswari College of Nursing seminar hall. This project was under taken from UNICEF collaboration with state NSS cell along with RGUHS.
This project contains “Strategic Engagements of Youths for Social & Behaviourial change & for Realization of Rights of children & Adolescents in Karnataka. This project has six modules like
All the aspects of NSS orientation porgramme was been covered and the programme went on with good response from NSS volunteers. It was successful. Activities were also conducted and everything went well. It was a great response from NSS volunteers.

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on 3rd July 2019, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. On that day, the atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students and the guardians. All of them came in a large number to enjoy the sports program.
The programme began with the Principal Dr. A.Jebarna Kiruba Mary welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a student’s life. The chief guest was Mr. Praveen Raghupathy, International High Jumper and our CEO Sri. Seetharam I.A.S, and Dr. Sathyamoorthy, Dean, RRMCH were the guest of Honor.
Mr. Praveen Raghupathy, Chief Guest presided over the oath taking ceremony and declared the sports meet open.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports captain Mr. Nithish Kumar, IInd Year B.Sc Nursing. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event. The students presented their drills and won the heart of the audience. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The students were lined up. There were several sports events such as, 100 meter race, 200 meter race, Relay, cricket, throw ball, football, volley ball, Basket ball, Short put, carom, badminton, chess etc.
The young achievers were awarded with the medals Gold, Silver and Bronze. The overall champion trophy was awarded to the IIIrd Year B.Sc Nursing. Runner up Ist Year B.Sc Nursing

View GalleryThe Department of Pediatric Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynecological (OBG) Nursing RajaRajeswari college of Nursing observed ‘World Breastfeeding Week’ from 1st to 7th August 2019 on the theme “Empower parents, Enable Breastfeeding: Now and for the future!â€.
The cost of inadequate feeding is too high. In India, only 55% of the babies are exclusively breastfed for the first six months. Hence, Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) calls for action to raise the level of awareness among people to increase the breastfeeding rates by empowering women and creating an enabling environment for them. Keeping this in mind and to raise awareness regarding the importance of breastfeeding, a weeklong activities were conducted for the antenatal and postnatal mothers and their family members. Keeping this in mind, and to raise awareness regarding importance of breastfeeding, health education session was conducted by 3rd year B.Sc (N) and 4th year B.Sc(N) student for all postnatal mothers in postnatal ward. Total 20 postnatal mothers from PNC ward attend the session. The programme was done under the supervision of Mrs.Kanchana M Naik, HOD, Dept of Pediatric Nursing, Ms. Jaswanthi , Lecturer , Dept. of OBG Nursing and other faculties of department .
