Total 11 teams were given their names for quiz competition. Preliminary rounds were conducted to select 4 teams for final quiz competition.
Each team comprised of 3 members. Quiz was conducted in 4 rounds. Winners were awarded by prizes and certificates.

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at RajaRajeswari College of Nursing on 15 August 2023; we celebrated the day with all respect by hosting the National Flag at the college premises at 8am by our honorable principle Dr. Umadevi and Mr. Vijay Prakash sports and cultural incharge of RRMCH and in the presence of Administrator of RRCN Mr. Shridar, Dr. Praveen vice principle of RRMCH and Mr. John sports incharge of RRCN. Sweets were distributed to the students. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and Unity in Diversity.
Free Medical Camp at Kengeri
Free Medical camp was held on 12th May, 2023 organized by RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore. Departments such as General Medicine, OBG, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, along with ECG, Laboratory and Pharmacy services were made available. IV Year B.Sc Nursing students participated in the activities of the camp by checking the BP of the patients, registration, assisting in ECG and by dispensing free medicines to the patients.
CREO Sports Day – 2023

RajaRajeswari College of Nursing celebrated the sports day CREO 2023 on 5th Aug .which was preceded by Dr. Umadevi A.K Principal of Rrcn and it was organized by the students and sports committee in charge Mrs. Renuka Malladad, along with faculties.
On 5th August, the first day of event the participants showed off their skills in indoor games. The events started from 9:30am continued till 1:00pm .the events were evaluated by the faculties of RajaRajeswari nursing college.
On 8th Aug the group events were inaugurated by Dr.Shyam Sports Secretary of Rrmch , Dr.Satyamurthy.B sir (Dean RRGI), Dr Praveen Kumar(M S RRMCH), Dr.Naveen( Deputy sports secretary of RRMCH).
Boy’s volleyball and girl’s basketball started. Simultaneously boys volleyball completed and started basketball, girls finished basketball and started to play volleyball.
On 8th Aug we had completed boys and girls volleyballs and boys and girls basketball ball, boys cricket and football tills semifinals.
The remaining sports events are were held by the next day (on 9th Aug) ,we had various track events, like 100 meter ,200 meter ,400 meter ,walking race, 4×100 meter relay, shot put, disc throw , after 2 pm we conducted finals of football.
The efforts of the faculty members and students who were involved in the planning and preparation of the event were finally frutiful as their efforts were appreciated and knowledge by all.

An awareness programme was performed on the occasion of drug overdue awareness day by III BSc Nursing students which was organized by Dr. Shamili Kowshik HOD, Department of Psychiatric Nursing.
Dr. Vishnuvardhan, HOD, Department of Psychiatry RRMCH was the chief guest. It was started at 10 am. Around 380 students i.e 1 st year B Sc Nursing 2 nd Year B Sc Nursing, 3 rd year B sc Nursing , 1 st year GNM, 2 nd year GNM students attended the programme mainly focsed on causes, effects & first aid of drug overdose.
7th Day of Breast Feeding Week- 2023
MIME & SKITPRIZE GIVING CEREMONY
To bring awareness among the public, Poster Exhibition, & Mass Health Education, skit and mime on Breast feeding was done in hospital lobby, RajaRajeswari medical college and hospital, Bangalore on 7th August 2023 by 2nd GNM and 3rd BSC nursing students The main emphasize of the Exhibition was on the importance of breast feeding, breastfeeding technique and its advantages to mother, baby and the society. On this day MS, Dean AND HOD of Pediatric Dept. of RRMCH distributed the prizes for the winners of the poster presentation and cooking competition.

To bring awareness among the public of RRMCH post natal ward mothers students had participated cooking competition on 2nd august at RRMCH 3rd floor. Ms. Debangi & Ms. Deepasha from GNM 2nd year achieved 2nd position in cooking competition.

World Breast Feeding Week Day 01 – 2023
The Departments of Child Health Nursing, RajaRajeswari College of nursing, Bangalore observe “World Breastfeeding Week 2023” on the theme “Enable Breastfeeding- making a difference for working parents” with various activities conducted from 1st to 7th August 2023. The programme was conducted with an aim to advocate breastfeeding friendly practices in hospitals and create awareness among health care professionals and the public to support breastfeeding. To promote awareness among the mothers, a Mass Health Education with poster exhibition done in Antenatal & Postnatal ward, RajaRajeswari medical college and hospital ,Bangalore. The presentation was carried out in Hindi and Kannada by 3rd year B.Sc Nursing students of RajaRajeswari College of nursing on the theme “Enable Breastfeeding- making a difference for working parents”. The session highlighted the importance of early initiation of breast feeding, exclusive breastfeeding for six months, continuing breastfeeding till two years, avoiding formulae feeds and its disadvantages, positioning and attachment, expression and storage of breast milk. An interactive one day workshop Breast feeding, positioning technique and its importance– to the Students of RajaRajeswari College of nursing was conducted on 1 st August, 2023 at Kadamba auditorium by department of pediatric, RajaRajeswari medical college in collaboration with IYCF& IAP. Total 55 2 ND year GNM nursing students participated in this workshop .Students were educated on the breast feeding the premature babies, physiology of lactation, how breast milk works, latching Vs. bonding, positions, care of breast before and after feed, contents of breast milk, expressing breast milk, difficulties encountered and its treatment, nutrition for mother and advantages of breast feeding to the mother and baby.
On this occasion poster presentation competition was held in RRMCH. Students from 3 rd year B.Sc.(N) & 2 nd year GNM had taken part. Ms. Debangi & Ms. Deepasha from GNM 2 nd year achieved 1 ST position and Ms. Monalisa, Ms. Crestina, Ms. Stency, Ms. Alibhiya,Ms. Naurin And Ms, Chisma from B.Sc(N) 3 rd year achieved 3 rd position in poster presentation.
