Puppet Show – 2023

Date: 22th August 2023
Time: 11:00am – 11:30am.
Venue: Government Higher Primary School Ganpathihalli, Bangalore
Collaborating with department of Community Health Nursing, Mrs. Tejeshwari B.V HOD & Professor of Community Health Nursing RRCN Bangalore. The puppet show was done on the topic Menstrual Hygiene. The show started with a welcome speech and a prayer song by Ms. Anuja GG.
The master of ceremony was carried out by Mr. Santhosh Puppetry is a traditional form of entertainment which combine music and storytelling. The show had more than 8 characters which included Teacher, Student, mother community health nurse, Doctor, granny and other supportive characters. It was a unique learning experience for the students to learn about menstrual hygiene. All together 200 students participated in the program, the program was continued by health education on menstrual hygiene and among them one of the student share his views regarding the show, and then some programs were conducted which included songs and dance by the students.
The students were very co-operative and interactive with the help of the puppets; we were able to make understand about the importance of menstrual hygiene. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. ANUSHA.

CREO Cultural Day – 2023

RajaRajeswari college of Nursing celebrated its cultural function CREO 2023 on 2nd Aug to 11th Aug. which was preceded by Dr Umadevi A.k principal of RRCN and it was organized by the students and cultural committee in-charge Dr Shamili kowshik professor & HOD of mental health nursing along with other faculty. The students & faculty of RajaRajeswari college of Nursing witnessed 7 days of excellent display of talents, competitive spirit and excitement during the cultural events CREO.

The cultural event were participated by 4 groups Rigel ,Ursa, Aadhara,Vega
The 4 days cultural event were followed as Ethnic day, western day, formal day, cine day.

On 2nd August, the first day of the event the participants showed off their skills in off stage events. The events started from 8:30am and continued till 4:00pm.
The off stage events continued till 5th august 2023 till 3:30pm. Events were evaluated by the faculties of RajaRajeswari medical College & RajaRajeswari College of physiotherapy.
After the fun packed 5 days on stage Events were conducted on 10th & 11th august at Kadamba hall. All the on stage Events started at 9:00 am and continued till 4:00pm. The cultural function came to an end on 11th August at 4:00pm
The efforts of the faculty members and students who were involved in the planning and preparation of the event were finally fruitful as their efforts were appreciated and acknowledged by all

World Immunization Week The Big Catch-up – 2023

24th to 30th April was observed as World Immunization Day every year, which aims to spread the incredible health benefits of vaccinating and how it can prevent many diseases and disorders. Vaccination has become the need of the hour in today’s world.
III Year GNM students were participated in awareness program on immunization with the theme ‘The Big Catch-up’on 29th April, 2023 for the mothers and family members of postnatal women, Post natal ward and mothers of children in pediatric ward of RRMCH. Students discussed the meaning, importance, and various route of administration, and the National immunization schedule. In addition, students emphasized the importance of early initiation and exclusive breastfeeding and its role in preventing diseases and promoting health.

National Safe Motherhood Day – 2023

National Safe Motherhood Day was observed at  RajaRajeswari College of Nursing , on April 11, 2023. This year Safe Motherhood Day events have the theme “Remain at home amid corona virus protect mother and infant safe from corona virus”. This theme aims to spread awareness and coordinate large-scale campaigns across India.
It is an awareness program specially designed for pregnant mothers. The goal of these campaigns is to seek every woman has the right to live and they could survive during pregnancy and childbirth. The Department of OBG Nursing ‘on 11th April 2023 from 02:30 pm to 4:30 pm organized a Poster presentation which was done by fourth year B. Sc. Nursing students. 9 Nursing students have actively participated in this presentation. There was an interactive slot which not only helped the students to broaden their knowledge and health educative skills but also helped the clients for a wider awakening on safe motherhood. The clients and relatives were showed interests and came forward clarifying doubts and seeking advices.

International Women’s Day – 2023

On account of International women’s day March 8, 2023, The department of OBG Nursing along with IVth year B.Sc Nursing students of RajaRajeswari College of Nursing, conducted a school health awareness program for the students of classes 5 to 12 on “Menstrual Hygiene at various Schools of Chikkakuntanahalli, Ramanagara on 10/03/2023 between 11.00 to 12.30 pm. The students and teachers were sensitized on the importance of menstrual hygiene, a balanced diet for school-age children, growth and development, and early pubertal changes and care which are essential aspects of SDG goal. Napkins were distributed by doctors of RRMCH.
