Report of National Workshop 2023

National workshop on Mastering the Nursing programme: A Comprehensive workshop was conducted on 2nd & 3rd Nov 2023 at Kamdamba Hall, RRMCH. The programme was inaugurated by Dean and Medical superintendent of RRMCH, Resource person, Principal of RRCN at 9:15 am on 02-11-2023. The theme of the workshop was announced by Dr. Umadevi A K principal, RRCN followed by which the sessions were held by Dr. E Deva Kirubai. Mr. Varadha Rachoti was appointed as a observer from KNC. Around 268 delegates were registered, and they all participated actively and enjoyed the hand on experience session. Workshop session was completed on 03-11-2023 at 3:30 pm, followed by valedictory started at 4:00 pm and the session completed with posttest and Vote of thanks.

AYUDHA POOJA 2023

The college witnessed the Ayudha Pooja celebration on 19/10/2023 in the presence of our Executive director Dr S Vijayanand, Special Officer Dr Jeyabalan, Principal Dr Umadevi AK, faculties, staff members, and students. Aayudha Pooja rituals were carried out by the Archak in presence of devotees along with the Bhajana program from the students. All the labs and department floor was beautifully decorated along with the rangoli as a sign of celebration with the theme of yellow Attire. After the rituals prasadam and sweets were distributed to the devotees.

It consist of a entry gate and right side a temple, house mill ,cattle shed and a shop both sides are separated with a developed road left side houses, a bus parking and left side there is another entry road to the Gokulam residency.
They maintained proper drainage system and sewage system. There houses were pakka houses and carried all modern facility.
It helps us to understand the proper idea of the areas of this village named Ganapatihalli.
This model was prepared by 23 members with lot cooperation from our respected madam Mrs. Tejeshwari BV, HOD and Professor of Community Health Nursing of RajaRajeswari College of nursing, Bangalore.

Health Education Program -2023

Date: 19 September 2023
A Health education program was conducted along with the community postings of 4th year B.Sc. Nursing. On the month of September, collaborating with department of Community Health Nursing Mrs. Tejeshwari B.V HOD & Professor of Community Health Nursing RRCN Bangalore.
This program was conducted to develop the health attitude, to eradicate the disease through health programs, to provide a helpful environment for physical and mental growth, and to improve the general conditions of living in the community and also to instruct the children and youth so as to conserve and improve their own health. All together 118 topics were included like HIV, AIDS, COVID-19 etc. Flash cards which include the photos of each topic which was made by students helped them a lot to understand more. The program was ended by thanking the members of community for their great co-operation.

Project Work Report – 2023

A project work was carried along with the community postings of 4th year B.Sc. Nursing. On the month of August, collaborating with department of Community Health Nursing Mrs. Tejeshwari B.V HOD & Professor of Community Health Nursing RRCN Bangalore.
There was two projects conducted by 4 th year BSc (N) students:
1) Oral hygiene – “A STUDY TO ASSESS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STRUCTUERED TEACHING PROGRAMME ON KNOWLEDGE REGARDING ORAL HYGIENE AMONG SELECTED PRIMARY SCHOOL, CHILDREN, BANGLORE.”
2) Substance abuse – “ A STUDY TO ASSESS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STRUCTURED TEACHING PROGRAMME ON LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE AMONG STUDENTS IN SELECTED SCHOOL, BANGLORE.”

Puppet Show – 2023

Date: 22th August 2023
Time: 11:00am – 11:30am.
Venue: Government Higher Primary School Ganpathihalli, Bangalore
Collaborating with department of Community Health Nursing, Mrs. Tejeshwari B.V HOD & Professor of Community Health Nursing RRCN Bangalore. The puppet show was done on the topic Menstrual Hygiene. The show started with a welcome speech and a prayer song by Ms. Anuja GG.
The master of ceremony was carried out by Mr. Santhosh Puppetry is a traditional form of entertainment which combine music and storytelling. The show had more than 8 characters which included Teacher, Student, mother community health nurse, Doctor, granny and other supportive characters. It was a unique learning experience for the students to learn about menstrual hygiene. All together 200 students participated in the program, the program was continued by health education on menstrual hygiene and among them one of the student share his views regarding the show, and then some programs were conducted which included songs and dance by the students.
The students were very co-operative and interactive with the help of the puppets; we were able to make understand about the importance of menstrual hygiene. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. ANUSHA.
