The session focused on strengthening mental health understanding and equipping students with essential knowledge related to suicide prevention, early identification, and timely intervention.

Students from 6th Semester B.Sc. Nursing and 2nd Year GNM actively participated in the programme. The session covered key areas such as:

Mental health awareness and suicide prevention strategies

Recognizing early warning signs and behavioural changes

Available support resources, including counseling services, help centers, and crisis helplines such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

The importance of empathy, communication, and timely response in mental health care

This initiative highlights RRCN’s commitment to fostering a supportive, empathetic, and well-informed campus community, while preparing future nurses with the skills needed to care for individuals with psychiatric and emotional needs.

Together, let us break the stigma, encourage open conversations, and promote mental well-being for all.
