Date: 07/03/2024The School Health Program was efficiently conducted on 7th March 2024 by dedicated 3rd-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) students in the quaint village of Kethohalli, Bangalore. Under the guidance of Dr.Tejeshwari B.V, HOD & Professor, Mrs. Deepa B.M, lecturer, department of Community Health Nursing the GNM students meticulously executed the assessment, demonstrating their proficiency and commitment to community healthcare.
Amidst the tranquil surroundings of Kethohalli, these aspiring nurses diligently measured the height, weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI) of 60 school-going children, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the data collected. Their involvement not only contributed to the success of the program but also provided them with invaluable hands-on experience in public health initiatives. Through their active participation,
the GNM students showcased their dedication to promoting health and well- being within the local community. This collaborative effort between the healthcare students and the village of Kethohalli underscores the importance of community engagement and highlights the positive impact of grassroots initiatives in enhancing healthcare access and outcomes.
